CONTROL PERSONAL APPLIANCES

Background

Areteworks worked with a start-up company that was developing a software application which utilized the user’s watch and smartphones to command and control their personal appliances, including TVs and security systems. Their goal was to create a product that appealed to a diversity of end-users and was adaptable to multiple contexts of use.

UNDERSTANDING USER INTERACTION

Challenge

Our biggest obstacle was gaining an in-depth understanding of the user experience interaction between the user and their appliances. In addition, we had to design a usable working prototype within 45 days.

INTEGRATED USER EXPERIENCE

Solution

Areteworks designed and prototyped a seamless integrated User Experience. In 45 days we were able to meet the client’s goals and design an application for the iWatch. Combining behavioral observations, Heuristic Evaluation, iterative concept design and prototyping we created a User Interface system that unified the user’s experience with their daily needs.
